Zoey's First Shoes

Zoey is getting to be such a big girl!! Here she is in her first pair of Robeez that Miss Shauna gave her. She was such a cutie.

Houston Half Marathon 2010

So, to motivate the Mommies to get back into shape post delivery, Christi and I signed up for the Houston Half Marathon. After 6 weeks of bed rest and then 4 weeks of no activity after her birth, I could only run 2.5 minutes at a time when I first started running again in October. So, I would say that 13.1 miles is a BIG improvement. Thank goodness I had the promise of the race and my running buddy Christi to keep me motivated. This was Miss Christi's first ever Half Marathon and she ROCKED it!! We ran a 2:23, it was a 10:59 pace. She ran every step of the race and didn't even rule out the idea of running another one with me in the future! So here is to you Christi, Life is definitely Good my Friend :-)

Grammy's Visit

So Grammy came down for a long weekend to visit and to keep Zoey over night while Mommy and Daddy went to Houston to run the Half Marathon. The second night Grammy was here we lost power for just over 5 hours. You can't tell how dark it is in the photo because of the camera flash, but it was quite dark. Here is Grammy reading Zoey some bedtime stories with one of Mommy's running headlights. Zoey was really enjoying the nursery rhymes!

We cooked dinner and dined by candle light. Thank goodness we have a gas stove! Then Daddy did the dishes with his headlight on!

All Bundled Up

It was unseasonably cold in Texas for a week, getting down into the Teens over night, so Miss Zoey had to be all bundled up for daycare. This is one of my favorite little sweat suits that she has. Probably because green is my favorite color and of course because she looks so cute. Thanks Miss Heather for such a sweet outfit!

Zoey's First Vegetables

After Zoey's 4 month appointment Dr. B said it was OK to go ahead and start adding in Fruits and Veggies. So here is our first attempt, it was Carrots, if you can't tell!! She actually did pretty well. Of course there was plenty on Mommy and Zoey, but she managed to eat a fair amount without putting up too much of a fight!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Today was Grandpa's Birthday, so Zoey was feeling talkative and we called him to sing Happy Birthday! Then we tried to take some Mommy-Baby self portraits, but they didn't turn out so well. So when daddy came home he took this one for us!!

Zoey spent some time playing on her activity mat.She also had some tummy time. You can tell she is getting much stronger. She can really pick her head up high now.

And the drool flows often...

Bath Time with my Piggy!

Zoey LOVES her bath time. It is part of her bedtime routine. And she has gotten so big, we took the little baby sling out of her tub and now she sits up in it all on her own. She likes to play with her little Piggy when she is in the tub. She also likes to kick the bottom of the tub and splash her Mommey. Here are some cute photos of bath time.

I don't know why, but this photo cracks me up, it's like her and the pig are both posing.

Zoey is 4 Months Old!

This is my Baby girl at 4 months!! I absolutely love this photo. We had gotten home from her 4 month shots with Doctor B and were having some tummy time.

At 4 months she weighed 13.08 lbs and was 25 1/2 inches long. Her head circumference was 42 cm. She is 90th percentile in height and 50th percentile in weight. While we were waiting for her daddy to get home, Zoey hung out in the kitchen with Mommy while we were cooking dinner and making bottles.

On New Year's day the Johns family stayed close to home, watched football and spent some quality time with our little Peanut. Daddy dressed her in her little track suit and they had some play time on the floor. Here are my two favorite people in the whole world :-)
