Zoey's First Haircut!

It broke Mommy's heart to get Zoey's long, blonde hair cut, but after 3.5 years, I suppose it was time.  All her time at the indoor pool at the YMCA lately had wreaked havoc on her ends and so it needed to be done.  Miss Samantha does Mommy's hair and she was very excited about cutting Zoey's!  We took almost 4 inches off the ends. Zoey was very nervous at first, you can see in some of the photos she has a sucker and is holding dad's hand.  That was out form of bribery to get her to sit there.  Then by the end she was smiling and talking to everyone in the salon!  Our little social butterfly

Disney on Ice with Mom 2/23/13

Today we left the boys at home for another girls afternoon of fun.  This time it was Disney on Ice at the Civic Center.  Here is a photo of my very own princess waiting for the action to start.  We had great seats and Zoey saw a lot of her favorites (Tinkerbell, Mickey, Toy Story, Ariel...).

 

9 Week Check-Up for Karter

Today Karter is 9 weeks old and we had a well baby appointment with Dr. Jones.  She said other than his issues with reflux he is perfect and continuum to grow.  Our little man is up to 10 lbs 2 ounces (10th percentile), 21.5 inches long (2nd percentile) and his head is also in the 10th percentile.

Big Sister Loving and Bath Time

Zoey is such a good big sister.  She really loves to hold Karter and to help do things for him, she is so proud of him.  Here are a couple photos of her loving on him.  I think maybe she was enjoying it a little bit more than he was :-)

After all the loving it was time a bath for baby Karter.  Now that Mommy has the hang of this baby bath stuff again he doesn't seem to mind it nearly as much as he did the first couple times.  Zoey loves to help me give him and bath and it is great to have an extra set of little hands when K-man is feeling squirmy!

Happy Valentine's Day 2013!

My heart is definitely running over with love this Valentine's Day.  How can it not be with two such beautiful and healthy children and an amazing husband.   Here are some photos of KJ in his little major hunk outfit :-)  Then there are some photos of his big sissy, Zoey, in her valentine pajamas and showing off the Valentine she decorated for her daddy.  What a sweet girl.  It was a low key day for us.  Zoey had her valentine party at school and then Karter and I met Zoey and Daddy at the Chinese place down the road for a little dinner celebration.  Perfect day with my wonderful little family.  To top it off, Karter is 8 weeks old today!  It is going way too fast. 

First Time in Bumbo Seat 2/13/13

Today mommy had some tests at the hospital so Daddy worked from home with Karter and when Mommy got home she started looking through family photos.  I have included photos of all of the Johns clan as babies, so you look and decide who looked like who!  It was also the first time Karter was in the Bumbo seat!!  He was ok with it for a few minutes and then he got restless.

Mommy's Night Out

Girl Time 2/8/13

Mommy wanted to spend some special time with her little girl, so we headed out for Mani's and Pedi's.  Here is Zoey getting beautiful!

 

Karter is 7 weeks and Nana Visits 2/7/13

This weekend Nana came up for a visit and Zoey and Mommy were very excited!  Mommy and Daddy actually got an entire night out for an early valentine's day.  We went shopping, to dinner and then stayed at the Embassy Suites in Charleston for the night....and Mommy slept for 9 hours without getting up, it was amazing!!  I love my kids, but sleep is nice every once in a while too.  That was Friday night and Saturday night I had a ladies night with Miss Christi...dinner and the Luke Bryan concert.  But before all of that we took some time to take Karter's 7 week photos with Nana and his big sister.  He is getting so chubilicious!

Dr Zoey Johns 2/3/13

Today Zoey and Karter were hanging out with mom at home and Zoey and I were playing in the den. She decided she wanted to play doctor, so we got her all suited up and she gave mommy a thorough check up.  When she was done with mom, she moved on to her little brother.  She checked his blood pressure, his heart, temperature, ears, mouth and gave him his shots and put on a bandaid and she was so gentle the entire time, it was really sweet.  When she looked in his ears she made the little birdie and kitty sounds like her doctor does when she looks in her ears.  When she looked in Karter's mouth and told him to open, he coooed and opened his mouth a little, she was so excited and it was so cute.  Here are a few photos of Dr. Johns and her first pediatric patient :-)
