Waiting on 10-10's Bus

Every summer 10-10 goes on a 5 week bus trip called "The Grand Western Tour" with a bunch of 9th and 10th graders.  And the first day they always drive through WV on their way to Lexington, KY.  So this time we went up the road to the rest stop and waited to wave at the bus!  Zoey was so excited watching and waiting and when the bus finally came and honked at us.  We even saw 10-10!

Big News - BABY NUMBER 2!!

No time like the present I guess to expand the family!  So here are some of the first photos of Baby Johns #2!!

Play Date at Ila's 6-13-12

The Lyons family was in town for a few days, so to celebrate we all got together for a play date at Miss Christi's house.  Here is a photo of Miss CJ and Miss Heather with Ali and Arin and then some other photos of our big girls huddling up and having fun!

Zoey's first Gymnastics Class with Ila

Zoey and Ila started taking gymnastics in the "Little Dippers" class at Revolution Gymnastics in Cross Lanes.  You can tell Zoey is a little apprehensive about gymnastics....in fact she spent most of the first three classes crying.  But eventually it was all she could talk about and she loved her class and her teacher Miss Veronica.

5K at Kanawha State Forrest and Kids Fun Run

Mommy and Daddy and Zoey all went to Kanawha State Forrest this morning for a 5K.  Mommy ran the race 7 weeks pregnant with the best pit crew ever.  Daddy ran with Mommy, while pushing Zoey in the jogging stroller.  Talk about great motivation.  After Mommy's race it was time for Zoey to line up with good buddy Zoey for the kids fun run!  Here are some photos from our day at the races. 

Live on the Levee - 5/25/12

One night after work we decided to head down to the Levee and listen to some music.  Zoey had fun with eating Icies and playing on the riverbank.

Petting My First Doggy!

We were at Miss Rachel's house for play date this week and the kids all went out on the deck for a while to play.  Zoey has always been very skiddish around dogs, but has never been brave enough to pet one all by herself.  But she surprised us all when she warmed up to the ever calm Albert and petted him.  Clearly she isn't scared :-)

Trip To Cinci For the Flying Pig Half Marathon

In the midst of potty training, Mommy, Daddy and Zoey made the road trip to Cincinnati for Mommy to run the Flying Pig Half Marathon on Sunday.  Zoey and Daddy were happy to be the pit crew, but unfortunately Mommy got the stomach bug at 4am on Sunday and spent the next 7 hours throwing up....so no race for Mommy. But Zoey had a big race of her own on Saturday.  She did the "Piglet Fun Run" and after the run we went to the Cincinnati Zoo.  Mommy and Daddy were both shocked that Zoey actually went into the petting zoo and fed  some of the animals.  Here she is showing off with the animals.

 But before the trip to the Zoo was Zoey's racing debut!  Here we are walking around Cinci waiting for her race and she is showing off her first racing bib!

We finally found the starting line and Zoey takes a minute to pose for a few photos.

Play Date at Ila's - Meeting the TWINS

When the twins finally got the go ahead to have visitors, Zoey and I went over for a play date with the Roberts family.  We had some fun outside, then took baths and loved on the babies.  

Mr Dave provided lots of entertainment for the big girls, first he played horsey.  They did well for a while and then Zoey got bucked right off the back!

Next up for outside fun, off-roading!

Once the races were done we all went inside, the big girls got baths to get rid of all the germs and then Zoey helped feed Ali and Arin and we both loved on them a little bit!
