Zoey's first day at Daycare

Miss Zoey got into the daycare at Brazosport College, which is right across the street from our development. It is also the place we were really hoping she would be able to go because Mommy and Daddy really like the facility, the people and programs. To reserve our spot we had to go ahead and pay for December, so Zoey is going 1-2 days a week this month for her and Mommy to get used to it. So here are some photos from her first day!! She was really excited as you can see...
Until I told her where she was going, then I got the "awww shucks" Mom face :-)

Here she is trying to talk me into playing Hookie with her!

Putting Up Zoey's First Christmas Tree

So, Zoey's Mommy is always a big kid about Christmas. I love-love-love putting up the Christmas tree. Just being able to sit in the den with it at night, well it's just something magical, forces you to be in a good mood. If only you didn't have to pry the tree out of the attic every year, if there were some little elves to come set it in my family room :-) I always put up my tree the Friday after Thanksgiving. This year Zoey was up at 5am, so we got an extra early start! She laid on the boppy and admired the lights while I decorated, then we sat her up in her Bumbo seats to snap some photos of her with her first Christmas tree. She was in a very good mood for it to be so early!

Here she was admiring her mom's handy work!
Zoey is thinking that all that hard work made her sleepy!
Then there was the "Mom get me out of this thing" face!
And the "Yeah, here comes daddy to the rescue" face :-)

Zoey's First Thanksgiving - 11/26/09

Zoey, Mommy and Daddy spent her first Thanksgiving together at home in Clute, Texas. Mommy's friend Matt came over and joined us for lunch and a fun - lazy afternoon! Her sweet Onesie from Christi and Ila!
Our little girl on her first big holiday, she was such a trooper all day!

Daddy feeding Zoey her "Turkey Formula" :-) Hey, it must have had something special in it, she slept from 9:30pm that night until 5:30 the next morning...I was very Thankful!
Daddy carving the 13 pound turkey that Mommy cooked, just the way Nanu taught her.
Daddy and Mr. Matt fix their plates.
Zoey was zonked. She was so good, she slept long enough for Mommy to finish cooking, for dad to carve the turkey and for all of us to eat.
Mommy, Daddy and Zoey with Zoey's Tree. Mommy's friend Li-Min and his family gave this tree to Zoey when she was born, so they could both grow together.
Mommy didn't give Matt a choice, she just handed me over, but Mr. Matt was a natural.

A visit from the Tilston's

After an awesome weekend in NC, we had some more special visitors when we got back to Clute. Kelli stopped by with Nicole and Alex and they just love-love baby Zoey. Nicole even brought her some very special dresses for when she gets bigger. She is going to be such the princess.

11/22/09 - More fun in NC

Sunday was my second full day in NC and my first time EVER going to church. Here I am with Aunt Krissy, both of us all dressed in pick and ready for church. Here is a copy of the Bulletin from my first trip to church. We went to New Hope United Methodist Church where my Mommy grew up going to church and where her and my Daddy were married. Reverend Taylor welcomed me and I met lots of nice people...even though I slept through the entire service.

After church we had lunch at Coppolas with Grammy, Mom, Dad, Aunt Krissy, Aunt Lori, Uncle Jeremy and Samantha and Corey. After lunch we headed to Waughtown to meet the oldest members of my family. My Great-Great Aunts, Sissy and Keewa. They were SOOO excited to meet me. Here are some photos of the visit.
My Great-Great Aunt Sissy is 96 years old! Hopefully I got some of her good genes. She still knows how to hold a baby and she has raised a lot of them!

I love-love this photo. It was next to impossible to get either one of them to smile, let alone both at the same time. So this is priceless!
Sissy, Keewa and Grammy all trying to look after Miss Zoey.
Look at all that Grey hair. At least there is hope that Zoey will get hair one day of some color!
Sissy loving on me some more.
My Great-Great Aunt Keewa was my great grandmother's twin sister. She loved on me bunches as well. I have to be the luckiest little girl in the world.
All the ladies! Lori, Kristen, Mommy, Keewa, Sissy and Grammy posing with me!
Mommy gets some loving from Aunt Keewa too.
Aunt Keewa hasn't lost her touch either.

I've been home two days and Lory finally got a chance to love on me a little. Look at those great big eyes taking everything in.
Shirley has been a friend of the family for as long as Mommy can remember, so she had to meet our little Peanut!
Cousin Traci is a very experienced Mommy, so Zoey felt right at home with her.

11/21/09 - Meeting Lots More Family in NC

Zoey's first full day in NC was a busy one, with lots of new faces! Some visitors were more anxious than others and the frist faces we saw after getting up on Saturday were Zoey's Great Aunt Sherri, Great Uncle Jeff and Great Grandma Mama Peggy. Here is Aunt Sherri feeding her the first bottle of the morning. You can't tell at all that Mama Peggy was excited to finally wrestle Zoey away from Aunt Sherri. :-)
A picture of a house divided! Mommy and Daddy were off to Blacksburg, VA with Aunt Krissy to meet some friends and go to the NCSU vs VT football game. Daddy was the only one happy on the return trip. The Hokies beat the Pack 38-10. But regardless of the outcome it was a great day for tailgatging with friends and college football!

Great Aunt Lynn loving on her little Niece.
Twyla Jackson (Justi and Corey's grandma) was an honorary grandma for the day, she couldn't resist a chance to love on a little baby.

Cousin Justi is enjoying snuggling with a little girl after all those little boys!
Aww, cousin Samantha and Uncle Corey came all the way in from Mebane to meet you!
Cousin Canton is just 7 months older than little Zoey.
