Zoey's 3rd Christmas

Zoey had a number of Christmases this year. Nannie and Pop-pop came down the weekend before Christmas to celebrate with us. Then we went to NC the wednesday before Christmas and saw some of Mommy's old friends and celebrated with Nana and Papa's families. After we had Christmas morning with Nana, Papa, 10-10, Fuzzy and Lo-Lo we drove back to WV to see what Santa had left under the tree. Here are a few photos of Zoey opening Santa's gifts.

There is Yet Another Angel in Heaven....

The world is a slightly dimmer place after our beloved Papa Billy went to his eternal home. He was without a doubt our patriarch and taught us all a great lesson on how life should be lived. Papa never met a stranger and he was rarely without a smile and warm hello. The number of friends and extended family he left behind is a true testament to his beautiful soul. When I get where I'm going Papa...I know you will match me step for step and I'll tell you how I missed you every minute since you left.... We love you and will keep you close at heart always.

Zoey's First Swim Lessons

Mommy enrolled Zoey in her first learn to swim lessons this fall. Zoey was a bit reserved at first, but quickly opened up to her teacher Miss Erin. Here are some photos of Mommy and Zoey in the water together at the UC pool in Charleston. Before every class we get in a circle and do the itsy bitsy spider, row row your boat and the Hokie Pokie. Zoey LOVES that part of class.
