Trip to NC 5-30-14

Daddy was in Japan and China for work for 2 weeks, so Miss Barb came to stay with us for a little while and then we took a long weekend and went to NC to visit Mommy's family.  Mama Peggy was so excited to see all her babies and Zoey was VERY excited to meet Ollie Gray!

We also set up some driveway fun for Zoey, Logan and Karter with the garden hose and sprinkler :-)

Zoey's Pre-K Graduation 5-22-14

Our little girl is growing up way too fast it seems.  This year she learned so much at Fort Hill Child Development Center in Miss Kathy's Pre-K2 class.  In addition to learning, she made a lot of great friends....including her two besties in her class Sofia and Eden.  So here are some photos from the festivities which we hosted at the Charleston Tennis Club.  The kids played and we ate pizza and cake and then the kids did an awesome little program they had prepared.  Zoey was part of the nursery rhyme Georgey Porgey.  Daddy was away on business, so he had to miss all the fun, but we were sure to video it for him!

Jake Owen in Huntington 5-15-14

Mommy roped Miss Rachel into being her new concert buddy, so we made the voyage to Huntington for dinner, drinks and then an awesome show by The Eli Young Band and Jake Owen.  I am slowly converting her!

Dinner in the Harbor 5-9-14

We definitely saved the best meal for last.  On our last night in San Diego we went to the Fish Market in the Harbor.  The fish melted in your mouth, the kids even devoured their meals.  The Harbor was also the home of the USS Midway Museum, so you can see some photos with the Midway in the background along with some really awesome trees!

The kids playing on the lawn at the hotel!  Running between Nana and Mommy and Daddy's rooms.

La Jolla and Torrey Pines 5-7-14

After a very full day at LEGOLAND we thought we would take a down day and just do some sight seeing, so we started the day with a trip to La Jolla to see Seal Beach.   Well, at least most of us saw it...Karter napped most of the time we walked around, so Nana hung with him while we took Zoey down to see all the Seals and to play a bit on the beach.  The freezing cold water didn't seem to phase her.

Karter finally woke up and got in on the action with the family.

After some time at La Jolla then we decided to drive to Torrey Pines State park and at least look around.

Nana slipped on the rock and I caught this photo as she was giggling at herself before she could get up!

After we got home, we played at the pool for a bit and then Mommy and Daddy got cleaned up and went out for a date night back at La Jolla.  We had the most amazing meal at The Marine Room and an even better view!  The windows opened right onto the rocky coast.
