Trip to NC to Celebrate 12-28-13

 

We always try to make a trip to NC in December either before or after the holidays b/c we have so much to celebrate in December.  Mommy, Nana, 10-10 and Karter have birthdays and of course Christmas!  This year we went right after Christmas and we got all the aunts, uncles and cousins together to celebrate Karter's first birthday!  It was a full house and a lot of fun as always.  Here are some photos of the festivities.

 

 

Christmas Morning 2013

The most magical time of the year for a small child is Christmas morning and this year was no exception!  Zoey was so excited to come down and see if Santa had been here and Karter was just excited to figure out what all the fuss was about.  Sure enough, Santa had come to see all of us and we had a great time playing with new things and spending time as a family.  Then we shared a big Christmas Morning Breakfast together!

 

 

 

 

 

Christmas Eve 2013

This year Mommy was pretty sick on Christmas Eve, so she helped get the babies ready and then daddy took them to Christmas Eve service at church while mommy went to urgent care.  They looked so handsome in their church clothes.  I think it was quite the battle for dad though, after all he had both of them and CANDLES to contend with at church :-)

After church we had an amazing dinner.  Bacon wrapped beef tenderloin with madeira wine sauce, asparagus and mashed potatoes.  Then for dessert we had a mud pie...YUMMY!  Much to our surprise both of the kids loved it as well.

 

 

 

After dinner it was time for Christmas PJ's, reindeer food, putting out Santa's cookies and milk and then reading the night before Christmas as a family.
