Ready for the Chic-Fil-A Bowl

Zoey's little Virginia Tech shirt never proved to be too lucky for the Hokies, so being just a bit paranoid, despite it being a bit too big, her daddy went with her VT cheerleading outfit. I hope she enjoyed it, because if Mommy has anything to do with it, it is the last cheerleading outfit she will ever wear!! None the less, she was very happy to cheer for the Hokies. VT ended up defeating Tennesee 34-17 in the Chic-Fil-A bowl. A great way to ring in the new year. Then mommy, daddy and Zoey were all in bed before midnight!
Her little lace up socks really completed the outfit!
We done with photos now Mom?

Santa Came to Clute Too!!

So after a 22 hour drive from Pfafftown back to Clute and a day of trying to recover, Zoey got to see what Santa brought her in Clute!!Here is Zoey and her Daddy checking out her brand new Jumperoo!!
Zoey was telling her daddy how much she loved her new toy.
Daddy was playing with the little Flowers on the Jumperoo and Zoey laughed for the very first time!! She has smiled a lot and talks up a storm when she is smiling, but this is the first time she actually had a real belly laugh!! It was so cute Mommy had to laugh too!
What a wild child! Daddy loves this photo.
More belly laughs! A bad photo, but too cute not to include it.

The Aftermath of a 22 hour Road Trip

Of course when we got back to Texas at almost 4am, Zoey had absolutely no interest in sleep. Jay had a big run to get in that morning, so I told him to go catch a few zzz's and I would play with her until she got tired. Well, she was in the bouncy seat next to the couch playing for a long time and I was trying desparately to stay awake. Finally she got fussy and wouldn't settle down, so I was cuddling her. Clearly I settled us both down a little too well. This is how daddy found us when he got up.
